Rizzo Custom Creations is ready to craft a timeless elegant stone mosaic for you. Whether it be a backsplash for your dream kitchen, a border or nook accent for your shower, or a unique piece of art. We offer design services, fabrication, delivery and installation. This a very collaborative effort where we discuss the client’s vision and I work to translate it into a legacy piece of art the client will cherish. Below is an example of the stages of a commissioned work.

22" x 29" & weighing in at 28.6lbs Ian's Mountain has a large variety of stunning natural stones and gems.
Design and inspiration for client's vision. He loves running in the mountains and nature. The trail through the flowery meadow was very important to him. He wanted an Elk. He'd seen my bears in other works and hoped we could fit that in too.

Laying out various main features of this piece.
Four different size black stone frame options for client to choose from. Options were granite, marble and basalt.
After cutting stone frame, gluing and clamping it in place on cement board
Attaching 12" French Cleat hanging system to the back of the cement board. Hanger holds up to 100lbs!
Using diamond bits with my Dremel to add details to this green granite pine tree, then carve out this spot to recess the tree near the labradorite pond.
Client wanted Colorado "bluebird" sky. Since no natural stone is this color, I found tile to use. Cut some white marble clouds and cemented the main pieces into place before grouting.
Painting in different color grouts different thicknesses to give dimension, to make a nice background color for gem wildflowers

Two days spent layering flower gems in: base of green peridot, then purple amethyst, red coral bamboo, yellow jade and finally white jade. Then I added crushed white marble for snow on the mountain peak and crevasses.

The bugling elk caught slate Mama bear and her three cubs attention--even scaring the runt up into the petrified wood tree stump, prompting another cub onto a boulder, and the third to stand up tall to see over the wildflower meadow.
